Amberly and I went to the movies last night. We saw The Incredible Hulk. It was incredible. We both loved it. It was much better than Ironman. Not to say that Ironman was bad. Hulk was better. Personally The Hulk is one of my all time favorite superheroes. A weak frail, but brilliant man is cursed by his anger and aggression when they become unchecked. The hulk at it's base has always been a story of controlling and managing emotions. I liked how they touched on that near the end.
I also saw Wanted a few days ago by myself. Pretty good. It is a straight up guy movie, blood, guts, and bending bullets.
I swear I will write in this thing more often. I am taking more and more pictures. I am just to busy to keep the blog up to date properly.

Indy!
I think I figured out how I will handle "movie reviews" from here on out. I will say if I liked it, would I see it again, and where. The where is an important part of how a movie is viewed. I saw Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull at the Trussville Regal 16. Nice theatre. The seats are pretty nice and plenty of leg room. I have to have my leg room, not that I am a tall guy by any means, but I like to stretch my legs out.
I LOVED the movie. It is cheesy. It does have some corny lines. The plot is ridiculous, but who cares? It has Harrison Ford in a Fedora and whip!
It kills me the people that are not enjoying this movie because it isn't realistic, plausible, or more character driven. WHAT? Did you miss the first three movies? Have you not seen them since you were eight?
Spielberg has said on multiple occasions that the Indy movies are meant to be a throw back to Saturday afternoon pulp fiction movies of the fifties and sixties. These were the movies he loved to watch as a kid. That's why he made Indy. He honors those movies' memory with Indy.
Take the eight year old inside you to see this movie. That kid will love it if no one else does.

The Ruins and more!
I have to say this past week has been so much more than I had anticipated. I can't say most of it, at least not yet. Maybe soon.
On to the movie!
I saw The Ruins with J'Mel This past Wednesday. Not bad. Nice and gory if you like that type of thing. Lots of flesh eating plants. Made me think of a weird mix of Kudzu and the Venus Fly Trap. It was yet another cautionary tale of American kids doing things they shouldn't, and then boasting about how they were Americans and this type of thing doesn't happen to people like them.
It does. At least in the movies.
Go see it, get grossed out, and stay on the beach in Mexico.
