Quite the weekend

I had quite a wild and productive weekend. Amberly and I went to the theatre on Thursday. Friday, Amberly went to Sips and Strokes with some friends and Chad and I went to see Xiu Xiu at the Bottletree. I took a camera and caught some interesting photos in the dark.








Saturday, we went to see J'Mel perform improv. Tons of fun. They have another show next Saturday if anyone can make it you should. The are performing at the Birmingham Festival Theatre. Go check it out!

Finally, on Sunday I helped my father in law pull a tree off of his house. You know just a regular weekend!

My Little Bro

My little brother is serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the Sao Paul, Brazil Mission.


I found this picture of him on my hard drive while I was looking for some other pictures. I don't know what is going on with the funky lens flare, but I like it. I think it captures him very well. If anyone wants to write him while he is gone here is his current address:

Yes, Knights in the park. Amberly and I went out to a park near our house to take some pictures of her all pregnant, and we saw these guys in the park.






I don't know what they were doing other than beating each other with fake swords, and yelling alot.

Caboose Basketball

Amberly and I came home to my parents' house for my ten year high school reunion this weekend. Yes, I am that old. Anyway, every once in a while my little brother puts on something he calls Club Caboose. Tons of kids come dance in this big green caboose in my parents' front yard. Some of the guys started a dunking competition. I saw the potential for some cool photographs. Check these out. n

Matthew Skate Shoot

Went out and shot Matthew skating around yesterday afternoon. Followers of VexPix might remember him from the Shoot with the little boys on skateboards. He came out that day too. Yesterday was way to hot. I thought with it being mostly cloudy it wouldn't be as hot. NOPE! Hot and Humid. You gotta love the south.

Such a Slacker!

Yes, I am a slacker. Well, when it comes to posting to this thing I am. I have shot several portraits and a wedding in the past week. Here are a few of my favorite shots.

Is it that hard?

Sometimes I love Ebay, and sometimes I hate it. I ordered a strobe from ebay two months ago, and I have yet to hear from the seller. I sent multiple emails to the seller, and even started the paypal process of contesting the transaction.

Fast forward to today. My package finally came today! Look at this idiocy.



I blurred the names and addresses to protect the innocent and the idiotic.

Maybe she had tons of stamps sitting around the house. Maybe she likes cougars. Maybe she is a little slow. Really is it that big of a deal to go to the post office and pay for proper postage for a package that should have been mailed several weeks ago.

Not the way I like to conduct business.
